How the Wordle solver works
Wordle gives you feedback after every guess: green for a correct letter in the right spot, yellow for a correct letter in the wrong spot, and grey for a letter that is not in the word. Step by step
- Type the five-letter word you already guessed into the boxes.
- Tap each box to set its colour — tap once for yellow (right letter, wrong place), again for green (correct place), or leave it grey (not in the word).
- Press Find matches to see every remaining answer.
- Play one, read the new colours, update the boxes, and repeat. Press Reset to start a fresh puzzle.
Strategy tips
- Open with vowel-rich words. Starters like adieu, audio or arose reveal a lot of the vowels early.
- Spend your second guess on new letters. Even if you have greens, testing five unused letters narrows the field faster.
- Mind repeated letters. A letter can be green in one spot and still appear again elsewhere — the solver handles this, so enter every clue you have.
