What is Word Bloom?
Word Bloom is an open-ended word-building puzzle using seven letters arranged around one required centre letter. Find as many accepted words as you can, progress through score milestones and look for a Full Bloom that uses every distinct puzzle letter. There is no countdown, so the challenge rewards vocabulary and patient exploration.
How to play
Build words of four or more letters from the flower. Every answer must contain the centre letter, and letters may be reused. Submit a word to validate it against the curated puzzle answers and broader gameplay vocabulary. Already-found words are safely rejected without changing progress. Shuffle rearranges the outside petals but leaves the letter set and centre unchanged.
The Daily Challenge is deterministic for the UTC date. After finishing it, or whenever Unlimited Play is available, New Puzzle supplies another validated flower. Active puzzle state, found words, hints and milestones persist locally so a refresh can return you to the same work.
Finding more words
Begin with common prefixes and suffixes that include the centre letter. Then look for short base words that can accept endings such as -s, -ed or -ing when those letters are available. Shuffle when the visual arrangement becomes too familiar. A Full Bloom may reuse letters, but it must include all seven distinct choices at least once.
Hints are staged and recorded, allowing help without pretending the result was unassisted. Milestone and completion feedback remains visual even when sound is off. A strong session moves steadily through the named ranks; finding a Full Bloom and several longer words is a better benchmark than simply submitting many short variations.
Saved progress, milestones and accessible play
The current puzzle, found-word set, score, hint stage and milestone state are validated before restoration. If saved data is corrupt, the game falls back safely rather than treating malformed values as progress. The Daily identity remains fixed for its UTC date, while Unlimited Play has separate active-puzzle state and supports a deliberate New Puzzle action.
Letter petals, Submit, Delete and Shuffle are keyboard-accessible controls, and important milestones have visible messages independent of SFX or music. Music is off for a new player and does not affect scoring or acceptance. Personal results remain local to the browser and no score is transmitted to an account or global service.
